Dusty and I have lived in our Old Market place for almost 6 years and we’ve talked about painting and decorating since we moved in. When we moved in we essentially started from scratch and have slowly bought things over the years, random stuff here and random stuff there. Dusty met a wonderful interior designer through his work with Silicon Prairie News and after checking out her website I thought she’d be great to help us put a little sparkle into our place. Jessica McKay of Birdhouse Interior Design is so awesome and we’ve also become quite good friends along the way. Jessica came into our place and somehow after talking for maybe an hour she went back and created a great update to our place. We didn’t want to buy lots of new things so she helped us re-purpose a lot of things we already owned that we just weren’t putting to go use. If you live in the area you should check out her studio at the Master Craft building, 1111 North 13th Street, Suite #123. And if you’re looking for someone affordable to help you decorate your place, I’d highly recommend Jessica. Here are just a few pictures of our place before and after.

Very nice Marlina. I wish I could do something like that. It looks so nice when it’s all finished.
