At the beginning of October we went to a wonderful event where we ate dinner outside with 500 great people. All of the food was locally grown and local chefs and volunteers were prepared and served dinner. It was one of the most humbling events we’ve been to in a long time, eating outside along side the silos with the friendliest strangers from across the city. It really made me proud to say that I live in Omaha. The organization that put on the event was Emerging Terrain, a non-profit that’s goal is to educate people on social, cultural, and economic factors that shape the built environment. This project was a large-scale installation covering silos in Omaha.
